What It Is
Daikin Air Purifiers are stand-alone devices designed to improve your indoor air quality. Using advanced multi-layer filtration and Streamer™ technology, these units capture and break down airborne pollutants such as dust, pollen, mould, formaldehyde and odours -helping create a healthier and fresher living environment.
How It Works
Air is drawn into the unit, passes through a pre-filter and HEPA filter to trap particulates, and then undergoes Daikin’s patented Streamer discharge process that actively decomposes harmful substances. Sensors detect dust, odour or particle levels and adjust airflow accordingly.
Benefits of Daikin Air Purifiers
- Deep-clean air: Filters fine particles (e.g. HEPA level) and decomposes pollutants via Streamer™ technology.
- Sensitive Choice certified: Suitable for allergy sufferers and asthma-friendly homes
- Ultra-quiet operation: Some models run as low as 19 dBA in quiet mode.
- Smart airflow: Auto-fan or “anti-pollen mode” adapts airflow to indoor air quality.
Things to Consider
- Room size: Choose a model that matches or exceeds the square-metre coverage of your living space. (e.g. MC30YPVM is suitable for around 46 m²; MC55YPVM covers larger areas.)
- Noise level: Quiet-mode performance is ideal for bedrooms or spaces where silence is key.
- Placement: Positioning matters – low to the floor helps with dust capture; opposite an air-conditioner can improve airflow and circulation.
- Operation modes: Consider whether you need features like “turbo mode” (for quick purification), “anti-pollen mode”, or an eco / automatic setting for overnight usage.
